Kevin Burke is a US immigration lawyer admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Illinois.
Kevin grew up in Connecticut and received a BA in Asian Studies (Chinese Language and Literature) from the College of the Holy Cross and a JD from Brooklyn Law School. Between college and law school, Kevin received a scholarship from the Taiwanese Ministry of Education to study Chinese at the National Taiwan Normal University and worked in New York for a small Chinese online retailer and for several law firms as an Intellectual Property Paralegal. He was admitted to practice law in New York in 2012 and in Illinois in 2014.
Kevin began his career as an immigration lawyer at a small law firm in Chicago before moving to London in 2014. Before joining the London office of Greenwood Hanlon Kendrick Ltd at the start of 2019, Kevin worked at another London-based US immigration law firm for over 3.5 years and also spent a brief period at an immigration consultancy in the City of London.
Kevin focuses his practice on US business immigration, helping clients expand into the United States whether via an E visa, L-1 visa, or other categories. He also assists private clients with their family immigration matters such as obtaining green cards or naturalizing as US citizens.
Outside of law, Kevin enjoys traveling, languages, music, theatre, and reading. Apart from the US and the UK, he has lived in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese. He speaks French less well than he should and could probably get by in Spanish and Italian if he really needed to.
